Vladimir has extensive experience in implementing complex projects, with focus on servicing corporate clients, institutional investors as well as private clients, developing asset management business and investment platforms. 

For more than 20 years Vladimir has held top management positions/CEOs in asset management and wealth and investment management, brokerage and advisory businesses, being responsible for strategic and operational development of the companies pushing them to become the market leaders. 

 

Vladimir takes an active part in the development of the financial markets and the professional business community:

  Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Investors.

  Member of the Board of Directors of the CFA Association Russia

 

Vladimir graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Higher School of Economics and the People’s University of China in Beijing. He is also a CFA charter holder and FFMS 1.0, 5.0 certified.

Vladimir is the Certified Couch of the International Neuroleadership Institute. 

 

Vladimir speaks fluently English, French, Italian and Chinese. 

Vladimir is married and has four children.

In 2019, Vladimir Potapov received award by RETAIL FINANCE AWARDS. It is awarded to the person who has made the greatest contribution to the development of the retail financial business or has strived to innovate in the field of retail finance.

 

Other achievements include the Reputation 2015 award in the "Contributing to the development of the industry of collective investments” nomination, as well as the 2014 Financial Elite award for his contribution to the development of the asset management market. In 2013, the Higher School of Economics noted Vladimir’s immeasurable input into improving the reputation of business and placing it among leaders on the global market. In 2011, he received Spear’s Wealth Management award for his efforts in developing the industry for managing private capital. Vladimir was the Best Equity Fund Manager in 2008, and in 2006 he ranked among the top ten fund managers, according to Finance magazine.
