SPEAKER'S BIOGRAPHY

Dr. V. Anantha-Nageswaran was born in Chennai in 1963. He graduated with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the internationally reputed Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 1983. He obtained a doctoral degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts in 1994 for his work on the empirical behaviour of exchange rates. In July 2006, he joined Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd. in Singapore. He is the head of Investment Research for Asia-Pacific and Middle East. Bank Julius Baer is a Swiss financial institution and manages both institutional money and offers private banking services to high networth individuals globally. Dr. V. Anantha-Nageswaran is an angel investor in technology start-ups that help to bridge the digital divide. He teaches International Finance to MBA students at the SP Jain Centre for Management in Singapore and at the Great Lakes Institute of Management in Chennai. He writes a weekly column for MINT, an Indian financial daily on Tuesdays (www.livemint.com) and is a frequent guest at all the major international television networks.
