In 2021, CFA Russia Society started building up on its previous year's success with financial literacy video tutorials that were filmed for school children. This time, live financial literacy courses and intensive sessions were taken to small towns across the European part of Russia where orphan teenagers live without parents and prepare to join the society.

This Thursday, October 21st, CFA Association Russia held an offline business breakfast in Novotel Moscow Kievskaya. The speaker was Vladimir Potapov, CEO at VTB Capital Investment Management and Board Member of the CFA Association Russia.

This Tuesday, October 19th, CFA Association Russia held an online event with Olivier Fines, CFA, Head of Advocacy EMEA at CFA Institute. Olivier spoke about the tendencies and prospects of the global economy recovery after the COVID-19.

On October 2 - 3, CFA Association Russia organized offline training on financial modeling of investment projects in Excel (level 2). Our tutor, Alina Kosunova, CFA, shared her experience in financial modeling and demonstrated how to check models for errors and include complex calculations, as well as correctly determine the source data and assumptions.

First offline event of the CFA Association Russia in this financial year took place last Tuesday in Novotel Moscow Kievskaya. Members of the CFA Association Russia and participants of the NES «Masters in Finance» program gathered for an in person event for the first time since May.

Last Thursday, August 19th, CFA Association Russia opened a new business season with a regular online macro update with Dr. Andreas Bickel, CIO of Blackfort Capital. For the first time the event was held in Zoom, so that all participants could ask questions personally at the end of the session.

On June 19 – 20, CFA Association Russia held offline training on exposing manipulation in financial reports. The course participants learned what goals are set by the company's management when forming financial reports, what techniques exist for their "purposeful" achievement and how external users can detect such manipulations.

On June 19 – 20, CFA Association Russia held offline training on financial modeling in Excel (level 1). During the training, students learned how to create simple financial models from scratch, as well as build more complex dynamic models and execute an express verification.

On June 11th, CFA Association Russia together with Oxford Business Alumni held an online event "Inflation: How to Live and Earn in the Current Conditions".
