Preparations for the Global IRC universities' contest are rushing at full sail. The goal is to fulfill the contest's major mission - to promote best practices in equity research and company analysis among the top Russian financial Universities.

After more than three years of study, 65 local investment professionals in Russia have earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation in 2010.

On Saturday, December 4, 2010, the CFA Association (Russia) invited exam participants and their friends to the Post-CFA-Exam Party at Temple Bar Strogino, just one metro station away from the testing center.

On Wednesday, the Russia Segment of the CFA Institute's Global Investment Research Challenge was launched at the main room of the PWC Training Center in Moscow. Eight leading local universities will participate in the worldwide contest between over 500 business schools.

On November 20, 2010, CFA Association (Russia), together with Kaplan Schweser and the Banking School of the HSE, organized the Live Mock CFA Level I Exam, in an environment most closely imitating the real exam conditions.

Today, the CFA Association launched its new season of professional events for the CFA community in Russia with this Fall's first webcast event - How to Have a Successful Job Interview.

The CFA centre team in EMEA has published the fifth issue of its quarterly newsletter “Regulatory Update”. The aim is to provide the investment profession’s view on European regulatory issues.

This year, CFA Association (Russia), together with Kaplan Schweser, organized the Live Mock CFA Exam in the center of Moscow. For the first time ever, CFA candidates in Moscow had the opportunity to rehearse the six-hour exam in an environment, most closely imitating the real exam conditions.

On October 5, the Association held its second speaker event in the season. This time, Jeff Hooke, Managing Director at Hooke Associates, LLC made a presentation on the current issues of the capital markets.

The Association held a live presentation by Joachim Berlenbach, President at Earth Resource Investment Group (Zug, Switzerland). He delivered a presentation on September 25, 2009, in Moscow.

Jason Zweig made a presentation about the psychological hints that drive the investors' decisions. He explained such phenomena as pattern recognition, familiarity and other intuitive processes, which happen in our brains.

CFA Association (Russia) acted as Information Partner of the Moscow Financial Community End of Year Party, which took place at The Wall Street Bar on December 18, 2008.

This time, Association members and CFA candidates had the opportunity to attend the pre-recorded presentation by Nouriel Roubini, who originally called the Credit Crisis.

The 21 new CFA Charterholders bring the total number of members in the CFA Association (Russia) to 211, including 180 CFA Charterholders.
