The Kick-off Meeting is an official start of CFA Institute Research Challenge - an educational initiative that promotes best practices in equity research among the next generation of analysts.

Candidates of all 3 Levels will be offered an opportunity to take supervised six-hour exam in an environment most closely imitating the actual CFA Exam conditions. Each year, the number of candidates benefiting from this next-to-real practice exam is increasing, and during our last Mock Exam in May we registered 170 Candidates.

On Thursday, 25th of October, CFA Association (Russia) held its traditional Business Breakfast event, on the beautiful glass terrace of the Moscow’s fashionable Dantes Restaurant. The presentations and further talks were focusing on the Future of Private Banking worldwide, and the structure and services of the Family Office business.

CFA Russia organized Careers in Investment Open Day at the Higher School of Economics where a number of students and young professionals were able to participate in this event by watching livestreamed presentation and asking the questions to the recruitment representatives of major financial institutions.

Hosted in Prague and in the CEE region for the first time, this flagship regional CFA Institute event brings together an impressive speaker line-up including, Nobel Prize winner Robert C. Merton, Financial Times columnist Wolfgang Münchau, Reuters columnist Anatole Kaletsky, and Thinkers50 award winner Pankaj Ghemawat.

CFARussia organised this season’s first Business Breakfast. CFA community memebers and guests met early in the chilly Moscow morning to discuss today’s hot topic of the investment world: Emerging Markets: New Hope or End of the Trend?

The CFA Russia Autumn 2012 training season has commenced with two Financial Modelling courses: Financial Modelling for Business Valuation and Intensive Financial Modelling. Our Society has been running these courses since 2011 and we already have more than 100 finance and investment professionals from Russia and CIS completing these trainings.

On May 19th, 2012, CFA Association Russia, together with Kaplan Schweser, organized the Live Mock CFA Exam Level I, II and III. Throughout the day, CFA candidates in Moscow had the opportunity to rehearse the six-hour exam in an environment, most closely imitating the real exam conditions.
