On Wednesday, December 10, 2014, 92 investment professionals from Russia and other CIS countries joined CFA Association Russia and became CFA Charterholders during a special ceremony at Moscow’s luxurious Soho Rooms club. For each graduate CFA Charter represents a valuable award, recognition of his success and significant achievement in his or her professional development.

In November 2014, CFA Association Russia started a new series of educational events in partnership with IB Club of the Moscow State University. First event of the series was dedicated to the specifics of the Private Equity Industry.

CFA Russia and IB Club along with Finexecutive.com portal held a workshop in the Moscow State University called "Building your Career in Finance". Meeting was conducted by professional finance and recruiting experts: Anastasia Glebova (CEO, Recruitment boutique S. M. Art) and Boris Yatsenko (Partner, Department of Transaction Advisory Services, EY).

Annual CFA Mock Exam took place at the Moscow State University in Moscow on November 22, 2014. This event, organized by CFA Association Russia together with Kaplan Schweser, was designed specifically to prepare CFA candidates for the upcoming December CFA Exam.

The Annual CFA Russia Career Day 2014 was held on November 20, 2014 by CFA Association Russia and the Moscow Exchange for young investment professionals representing major areas of the finance industry. The three-hour meeting brought together top managers/HR directors of major market participants, and CFA members and candidates.

On November 19, 2014, CFA Association Russia launched the local stage of CFA Institute Research Challenge 2014-2015. Event was attended by the representatives of CFA community, the Moscow Exchange, the IRC Subject company (Tinkoff Credit Systems Bank) and the students – main participants of the challenge.

On November, 19th CFA Institute and CFA Association Russia will be officially launching the local stage of CFA Institute Research Challenge 2014-2015. The Kick-Off event will be organised with support of the Moscow Exchange and will be hosted at their office.

On September 27, CFA Association Russia took part in the opening of IB Club’s new season, which was held in the Faculty of Economics building of Moscow State University (MSU). During the opening, CFA Association Russia became an official partner of IB Club (Investment Banking Club MSU) and started a new chapter of collaboration with the student community.

On September 27-28, CFA Association Russia delivered a course called "Business Valuation Methods Using Financial Models". Instructors Dmitry Riabykh and Mikhail Panfilov shared with the audience the most effective practices of financial modeling.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of founding the Russian Society of Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA Association Russia), the Association directors, founders and guests planted an alley of apple trees on the grounds of the Higher School of Economics in Moscow at 4 Maliy Gnezdnikovsky Lane. This will be known as CFA Apple Alley.

From January to June 2014 we held three series of three trainings: on financial modeling of investment projects, the use of financial models for business valuation, and detection of misleading reporting practices to define businesses’ actual financial standing.

June 25, 2014 - in the Building of the Moscow Exchange CFA Association Russia, National rating Agency, and The Guild of Investment and Financial Analysts (GIFA) held a round table to discuss following issue: Credit Ratings: Prospects of Use in Russia.

On June 19th, at Investcafe's office representatives of CFA Association Russia, Thomson Reuters, National League of Management Companies, and Investcafe discussed items related with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).

CFA Association Russia was the official partner of the Moscow Life Sciences Investment Day – 2014. The largest conference in Russia, which is entirely dedicated to investment opportunities in the health sector, took place in Moscow.

On June 7, 2014, CFA Association Russia held the summer party to celebrate those who took the CFA exam this month. he wonderful atmosphere at the Barbados bar provided everyone with opportunities to relax and establish new contacts with representatives of the CFA society.

On July 9-10, 2014 Skolkovo School of Management with support of CFA Association Russia, held a two-day seminar by NYU Stern Business School Professor of Finance Aswath Damodaran.

On Saturday, May 24, 2014 CFA Association Russia and Kaplan Schweser hosted the Live Mock CFA Exam in the Faculty of Economics at Moscow State University.

22 May, 2014 – MOSCOW. The Higher School of Economics hosted a round table entitled "Financial industry without ethics. Is there any future?". The event was organized jointly by CFA Association Russia, the Banking Institute of the Higher School of Economics, and the Dutch investment company Schildershoven Finance.

On May 15, 2014 CFA Association Russia held the Business breakfast for members of the financial and investment society, called De-offshorisation: New Challenges for Russian Business. There were more than 60 breakfast attendees, and among them were representatives of the Russian investment and financial community.
