Participants of the Russian stage of the 2017-2018 CFA Institute Research Challenge submitted draft reports on December 18.

21 teams successfully submitted their draft reports and advanced to the next stage of the competition; meanwhile, nine teams were left behind after failing to send in their work.

CFA Association Russia acknowledges the hard work of all teams who made a significant progress on their reports. However, it isn’t a time to relax yet, as final reports are due on January 15, 2018.

The subject company of this year’s Russian stage of the Research Challenge is Detsky Mir, Russia’s largest children’s retailer.

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a competition between university teams that research a designated publically traded company, prepare a written report on that company and then present their findings to a panel of judges. The competition has three levels: local, regional, and global.
