When we get fed up with calculating investment returns, looking at M&A deals, and managing assets, it might be a time to go to the theater. But which plays and musicals currently running in Moscow should one go to?

CFA Association Russia held an evening social event at Hyundai Motorstudio, inviting Maria Sedova, a well-known theater critic, to tell guests about the fine details of the Moscow theater scene.

To understand the true essence of a theatrical performance, one cannot simply watch a play, but needs to “feel” vibes and intricate energy that builds up between an audience and actors.

“Neither photos nor video can capture all components of a play, especially the performance of actors, stage design, the conceptual idea of a director, and music,” Sedova, a professor of theater at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts, explained.

During the evening, CFA Russia guests were also given the foundation of a theater knowledge required to understand plays, actors, and venues. The idea was that with this information everyone can then pick a play that would best suit to his or her interests and personality.

Around 30 people turned up to the event. Apart from a great value, the evening was a great networking opportunity in a casual environment. Guests gave a lot of positive reviews about the event, adding that it was a great idea to host a few social events in between professional seminars and business breakfasts that CFA Russia regularly hosts.
