Spring CFA Mock Exam session took place at the new building of the Faculty of Economics of the Moscow State University last Saturday.

CFA Association (Russia) and Kaplan Schweser organise two mock exam sessions per year to provide CFA candidates with an opportunity to experience the exam beforehand.  

On May 18th, over 140 CFA candidates took this Mock Exam in the set up imitation the real CFA exam with exam materials prepared by Kaplan/ Schweser.
The first candidates started appearing at the venue by 8 o’clock where we welcomed them with morning coffee and the list of their names with sitting numbers. The morning session commenced at 9:00 AM and went on until 12:00 when the exam was stopped for one hour lunch break. The afternoon session went for another 3 hours and exam finished at 16:00. At the end of Mock exam all candidates were given Answer keys for self-evaluation and written instructions for accessing Kaplan/Schweser web portal.

CFA staff and volunteers took on the responsibilities of the exam proctors and made sure that the Mock Exam runs in accordance with official exam protocols. The exam materials are prepared on the basis of Kaplan CFA preparation course and are given to the candidates at the start of the exam. Kaplan also provides online services that cover the following areas:
1 individual exam score and complete answer explanations
2 individual score relative to other candidates
3 Learning Outcome Statement page references for the CFA Institute texts and SchweserNotes™
4 Mock Exam tutorial
