KPMG Deal Advisory team provides advice on managing divestments and acquisitions of companies in Russia/ CIS and abroad. We support our clients throughout the M&A process from initial planning and preparation to closing. Our team includes over 250 professionals in Russia and the CIS. We are one of the largest deal advisors with professional teams in Russia and the CIS, providing objective unbiased advice on every aspect of the full range of transactions.

Our practice in Russia and the CIS saw Russian M&A nascent in 1997-2002 and gathering momentum from 2003 onwards. We advised on the landmark deals on the Russian market and in the CIS.

Responsibilities

Participation in the following assignments:

• Team member on business planning / finance raising projects

• Responsibility for preparing financial models and writing significant parts of the deliverable documents (business plans, information memoranda, etc) under supervision by a manager

• Participation in meetings with potential financiers

• Participation in marketing and business development

• Preparing presentations and pitch materials

• Preparing draft contracts and other project-related documents

• After gaining experience - opportunity to manage projects more or less independently 

To fulfill the role the candidate is expected to meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance Department (Big4 is a plus)

• Experience in financial models' preparation:

1. Ability to prepare the projected financial statements for a company

2. Calculate main investment analysis indicators (NPV, IRR, PBP, DPBP, FCFF, FCFE, WACC, CAPM etc)

3. Understand the range of financing structures

• Good knowledge of financial statements, in particular:

1. Ability to make necessary corrections to the balance sheet and income statement for the analytical purposes

2. Ratio analysis

3. Understanding of main differences between IFRS and Russian Accounting Standards

• Experience in managing projects with 1-2 people in subordination

• Good knowledge of Excel, Power Point

• Good team player

• Good written and spoken English

• Attention to detail

• Strategic thinking

• Desirable - Experience in preparation of analytical documents: information memorandum, business plan, feasibility study, teaser etc.

• Desirable - experience in finance raising - knowledge of requirements of the main fund providers, ability to prepare collateral budget, knowledge of possible risks' management issues

• Desirable - ACCA, CFA exams passed

• Desirable - deep knowledge of certain industries
